Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Google Adsense & BlogKits ads on my blog?
Answer: Yes! BlogKits is not contextual, meaning, our ads aren't served on your blog based upon your content automatically, so there's absolutely no conflict with Google.

So how exactly do I make money from this?
Answer: BlogKits works on a cost per action (CPA) model. That means that you get paid when a sale is made. So if a blog reader clicks on one of your BlogKits placed ads, then they go to the website and buy something, you then get a commission for that purchase. For example: If you referred someone to XYZ Online Store and that person bought $300 worth of merchandise, and XYZ was giving you 10% of that sale... you would make $30 instantly, just for the referral.

So I get paid for clicks?
Answer: No. Problem is, for 99% of bloggers, 'Pay-Per-Click' doesn't work. With BlogKits, we've given your blog the better option with commission based earnings. Clicks are worthless unless you have tons and tons of traffic.

How do I know if I am making money?
Answer: You can login anytime you wish to view your reports. Every 30-days we'll look to see how much you are owed and we'll send you out a check.

Does this really work?
Answer: We know that you are passionate about blogging, not advertising. That doesn't mean that you have to settle for second best advertising or spend hours finding advertisers. The proof is in the pudding. The truth is that 99% of blogs don't make any money because they waste their time with generic advertising services. The only true successful monetization model for a low traffic blog comes in the form of a cost per action model.

Couldn't I just go to another large affiliate network and find my own offers?
Answer: Sure, you could, and you should if you know how. However, as we pointed out before, 99% of bloggers have no idea what an affiliate network is, or how to work with them. We've taken the confusion out of the process, and most importantly, we've simplified the delivery of the ads so that they fit into blogs. That means less work for you, which means more profits and more time to continue to blog instead of worrying about advertisements.

Will my blog readers be ok with these ads on my blogs?
Answer: Yes, because they are clearly marked as advertisements. The text ads, for example, all contain the words "Support this blog" before the ad. Why? Because a blog reader is like a friend. If your blog reader is enjoying your company, they will go out of their way to help support you. Think about it. If you were in someone's home and they told you that they could make $20 if you were to simply tell the mechanic down the road that you sent them... would you do it? Of course you would, because it's going to help your friend and make you feel good at the same time. It's the same on blogs.

Are you asking me to write content about advertisers?
Answer: Never. Your content is your own. We will never, ever ask you to write content about an advertiser or partner. BlogKits partner ads are meant to fit on top of your blog, sometimes near your content, but never "in" you content, or part of it. We strongly believe that all ads should be clearly marked.

BlogKits History

BlogKits was created by Jim Kukral in early 2005 as a solution to help bloggers find new ways to earn a profit with their blogs.

BlogKits was acquired in 2006 by Forge Corporation, a global affiliate marketing firm, and has been transformed into a world-class affiliate marketing tracking network built for bloggers (affiliates) and advertisers.
